This project was worked on at the same time as the above 24th St. project. We worked very closely with the engineer on this project to open up the floor plan as much as possible to create a comfortable contemporary floor plan. By removing walls in the foyer and living room we were able to open the space up, however that meant we needed to add steel beams in the ceiling of the below unit. It was important to the property owner that we maintain as much of the home’s architectural integrity as possible, so after the open floor plan was created we made custom fabricated ceiling coving to match the existing ceiling detail throughout the home.
